Nakhre Visuals starring Arshdeep Purba
Me and Reminisce originally released “Nakhre” as a remix to I need a girl part 2. We got so much amazing feedback on the remix, that I went back and reproduced an original beat for the song. The track fuses heavy West Coast inspired Hip-Hop drums with a beautiful Bansuri (Indian Flute) melody. The English rap verses break up the traditional Punjabi lyrics and add to the story of what might be a great relationship or something potentially toxic.
I am so blessed that I was able to work with Miss Canada Globe winner Arshdeep Purba on these visuals. Arsh recently returned to Vancouver after filming her blockbuster film Teri Meri Jodi alongside Sidhu Moosewala in India. Arsh really wanted to do something different than what she’s done before and something unapologetic. We took a lot of inspiration from Kareena Kapoor’s character Pooja from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham to put together the final concept.
I have also been using the slow down to learn how to create my own videos. So this is the first video that I shot, directed, and edited myself. So do cut me a little slack, and please feel free to provide any constructive feedback. You can drop me a comment on Instagram, and the full credits are there as well. If you do get a second please feel free to reshare:
